April Craft Along With Me! PARTY HATS!

April is my birthday month and this Months craft along is the perfect time to pull out of the craft vault the Felt Party Hat Tutorial's I have done and share them with you!
To make two party hats you will need:
-Paper
-A Dinner Plate
-Pencil
-Scissors for craft and Felt
-Sewing Machine
-Rick Rack
-1/4 inch Elastic
-Ruler
-Pomp-pom
-Glue
Step 1- Place a plate on a piece of Paper and trace it with your pencil. Cut out the shape and fold it in half, this is your pattern piece!
Step 2- Fold your felt in half and place the pattern piece on it along the folded edge, cut it out and then cut the circle of felt you cut in half creating two semi circles. These will be your 2 hats!
Step 3- Now it is time to add the rick rack trim, Sew it in place along the rounded edge of your hat as shown in the photo above.
Step 4- Fold your hat in half and line up the straight edges with the trim on the inside. Stitch  the edge closed then turn your hat right side out!
Step 5- Cut your 1/4 inch elastic to 9 inches, sew one edge into place along the inside of the hat and attach the other side to the opposite side as shown in the photo above. Make sure the Back seem of the hat is in the center between the elastic.
Step 6- Glue on your pompom, let it dry.
Now your hat is ready to wear!

I can not wait to see what you come up with for your felt hats. Remember to email me a photo of your finished work to share with our readers!
